Notification of Public Events in 2025

The organisers of all large public events, e.g. Nuclear Races and Kelvedon Hall festivals, are required to complete details on an online template well in advance and submit it to Brentwood BC Licensing. The application is then reviewed by the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) made up of officials, police and fire etc who make a risk assessment and if necessary, call in the organiser for more details or to give advice.

This is done months in advance so it should be possible for the BCC/SAG to inform Parish Councils well in advance of such events. We can at least raise issues about previous events, perhaps through our Ward councillors, and be aware of when events and potential disruption may occur.

Motion: To ask BCC for notification of public events in the Parish that impact on road & foot traffic and noise etc.
