For information and monitoring. This was a licensing application for the run up to Christmas 2026. A Licensing Sub-Committee hearing on 21stApril 2026, at which KHPC lodged concerns about ingress, egress, parking and the risks at the curved stretches of Ongar Road / Frog Street, acknowledged the local objections and the risks the event posed but in the absence of representation from the responsible authorities (eg. Police and Highways) granted a licence with conditions. These include a traffic management plan to be submitted six weeks in advance of the start of the events.

b) Martyn’s Law: There is no further relevant guidance from government other than the original ‘common sense’ approach, so in view of this KHPC purchased five ID lanyards to be used to identify volunteers at our events, the first being the Pic Nic on 9.5.26, hence this is retrospective.

ESS/03/26/BRW Place Farm Lane – Waste recycling facility
The development at Woodlands, Ongar Road CM15 0AA.
For Information, no planning application has yet been submitted for this Grade II listed house and outbuildings in six acres. This was formerly owned by Mrs Babs Shaddick who died on 23rd April 2025 and despite the delays that probate usually causes the property was sold in November 2025. Clearing began very quickly.
