ENV/0122/1 Acceptance of Apologies for absence.
Motion: To accept the received apologies for absence from Parish Councillors.
ENV/0122/2 Declarations of interest & amendments to the register of members’ interests.
To receive declarations of interest pertaining to matters included in this agenda, whether they be personal and/or prejudicial.
ENV/0122/3 Minutes of the Environmental Committee Meeting held on 5th July 2021, 6th September 2021 and 1st November 2021.
Motion: To confirm as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 5th July 2021, 5th July 2021, 6th September 2021 and 1st November 2021.
ENV/0122/4 Suspension of the meeting to receive questions and/or comments from members of the public.
ENV/0122/5 Play Area: Roundabout.
Recent inspection reports have highlighted this as a Medium Risk.
To consider the following options to recommend to the full council:
a. Replace the roundabout with a wheelchair friendly (accessible) model and replace the safety surfacing. (Ballpark cost £15,000 inclusive of installation, surfacing, etc)
b. Replace the roundabout on a like-for-like basis and replace the safety surfacing. (Around £11,000 – £12,000 including of installation, surfacing, etc)
c. Replace the safety surfacing only. (Around £5,000 – £6,000 inclusive, based on cost of the new safety surfacing for the nest swing)
ENV/0122/6 Play Area: Repairs and maintenance.
To decide on other repairs and maintenance to recommend to the full council:
a. Replacement of the seats on the hexagonal swings. (about £50 each + fitting)
b. Repaint the fence and replace missing fittings.
c. Replace litter bins with lockable ones. Consider removing the one nearest the football pitch as dog waste bags are often left next to it.
d. Remove out-of-date signs.
