The government has today unveiled a new website for emergency planning, see prepare.campaign.gov.uk in which it urges the public to take some simple steps to ensure that they are ready for a range of possible scenarios, including local flooding, power and water supply problems, internet disruption, and even a new pandemic. Kelvedon Hatch Parish Council have been developing a local emergency plan for some months (see our website for updates) and will be meeting local groups to explain our plans.
