3rd Feb Blue 3rd March Blue
10th Feb White 10th March White
17th Feb Blue 17th March Blue
24th Feb White 24th March White
31st March Blue
The Blue sack is for paper and card including: newspapers, magazines, catalogues, junk mail, greeting cards (no glitter), phone directories, kitchen and toilet roll tubes, cardboard boxes, empty tissue boxes, egg boxes and pizza boxes. NO wrapping paper, shredded paper, nappies, beverage cartons and cups.
The White sack is for cans and plastic including: tubs, pots and food trays (not black), plastic drink bottles, plastic cleaning bottles, plastic toiletry bottles, food tins and cans, drink cans, foil and foil trays and aerosols (no lids). Bottles should be rinsed. There should be no food traces. Can lids should be placed inside the cans. NO glass, bubble wrap, polystyrene, plastic film, textiles, food waste, beverage cartons and cups, nappies and plastic bags.
Sacks should be sealed to keep out the rain as wet paper and card cannot be fully processed.
Glass bottles and jars (red box) are collected on the same days as the blue sacks.
Garden waste (green bags), food waste and non-recyclable waste (black bags) are collected every week.
Items should be placed out for collection by 7.30am.
Smaller blue recycling bags for paper and card are now available for those who find the blue sacks difficult to manage. Ring Brentwood Borough Council on 01277 312500 if you want to order one. Smaller white bags for cans and plastics should be available soon.
